Diamond and Gem Setter

 

My interest in Jewellery and Gem Stones began at age 10 at Penrith Lapidary Club NSW where my mother taught Silver Craft manufacturing and my father taught me how to cut cabochons. At the age of 12, I learned to facet my first semi precious gemstone.

My family & I went prospecting for gems on most of our holidays. During these trips I was fortunate to develop my knowledge of gems and minerals and an understanding of their characteristics and applications.

After finishing Year 10 in 1978 I was indentured into a four year apprenticeship as a Diamond & Gem Setter. I also commenced a four year night school course at Sydney TAFE to learn the art of Hand Engraving under the master engraver Mr. Arch P Buttle, completing the course a year early.

My passion for perfection and fine detail was enhanced through these developing years, fine tuned by experience, and continues today with my pursuit of the optimum blend of design, fine gems and excellence in craftsmanship. I create from the heart through my hands.

In the early 90's my wife and I took over the ownership of the manufacturing jewellery business where I had completed my apprenticeship. During the next four years I honed my designing and manufacturing skills while continuing to run a successful business.

It is my belief that trust is everything. Developing trust with my customers is the cornerstone of my business. Without trust I don't have a business.

It is my vocation to create the finest quality jewellery. Jewellery can evoke passion and love and signify generosity, be as individual as you, priceless to its owner, and a joy to give or receive.

At present I design and quote for my clients on an appointment only basis, for people living in South East Queensland. We also manufacture in all types of precious metals for all our international clients. I am happy to use the Internet and email for clients who are some distance away or overseas. For those of you who need something for a special occasion please contact me a few months ahead of any special date if possible so I can ensure timely delivery. I am currently working on delivery time of three weeks from date of firm order placement. Delivery time will vary throughout the year depending on our workload.
